In terms of state appointments, Tharaka Nithi has only 6 posts, namely. Secretary, legislative affairs, and regulatory compliance-executive office of the president occupied by Jusper Mbiuki.The next post is that of Director general national museums of Kenya given to Dr. Mzalendo Kibunjia.
Prof. Micheni Jacob Ntiba on the hand is serving as principal secretary in the state department for fisheries, aquaculture and blue economy, ministry of agriculture, livestock, and fisheries.Prof.Mary Ciambaka Mwiandi on the other hand is a commissioner public service commission.
The rest of the posts are the Chuka University vice chancellor under Prof. Erastus Njoka, and that of University of Embu vice chancellor under Prof. Daniel Mugendi Njiru.
In terms of roads,the county has had 1.7 KM Chuka phase II tarmacking, 55 KM Chiakariga-Meru road, 36KM Chiakariga-Marimanti Gatunga road and 25KM access road to Chuka university.
In the health sector the county has had supply and installation of Theatre equipment in Magutuni district hospital, installation of and supply of theatre renal image and radiology equipment at Chuka level 5 hospital, and supply and installation of theatre, imaging and radiology equipment at Tharaka level 4 hospital.
Tharaka Nithi county has benefited with the ongoing construction of Kirubia stadium in Chuka which is set to be hosting big events thus growing the youths talents.
As the electioneering period nears, the constituents are waiting to see if they will be lucky to get more state appointments like their neighbouring Meru county which has reaped big in terms of top government jobs appointments.
