Families burying their loved ones passing from COVID-19 are set to get a reprieve after revision of burial protocols by the ministry of health.
This follows announcement by ministry of health that new observation has showed that bodies of patients who have died of covid-19 cannot transmit the virus.
Speaking during the daily briefing on COVID-19 Health Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Dr. Rashid Amani said they are reviewing the burial protocols for corona deaths before the weekends to come up with new guidelines.
This will help families have a simple time in burying their loved ones and also provide them with humble time to prepare for send off of their loved ones.
There before, the burials for corona deaths have been happening under tight protocols from the Ministry of Health where bodies were buried within the shortest time possible after deaths to prevent transmission of the virus.
